The services include IBM's business continuity and resilience services (BCRS) and resiliency consulting services. The computer giant has also announced it will be opening two Cloud-based resiliency centres in North Carolina and Mumbai.

IBM said the services will speed up data recovery time by providing assistance to clients using the Cloud virtualised server recovery (VSR) managed service. SoftLayer chief executive officer, Lance Crosby, said thousands of customers rely on the company's Cloud service.
