Motorola Moto G release date, price and specifications are all leaked ahead of the launch.
Motorola is set to launch its Moto G smartphone this week but its release date, price and specifications have all been leaked.
It seems no smartphone launch can be kept a secret anymore as the Google-owned Motorola Moto G has been leaked in full in advance of this week's launch event. After a fair amount of leakage last week, the handset has now appeared on Amazon.
The online retailer states that the Moto G (listed as DVX/XT1032 in the product line) will be released on 14 November with a price of £159. See also: Google Nexus 5 review: The best value smartphone you can buy.
Amazon's listing says: "Moto G is designed for all the things you want to do-taking and sharing photos, watching videos, checking scores, getting directions, listening to music, you name it. Moto G also gives you choices. Different backs you can switch out to reflect your unique style, and access to more than one million apps on Google Play to create your own mobile experience. Every detail is just how you'd like it."
The press image (above) was published by notorious Twitter leaker, evleaks. Leaked specifications, courtesy of GSMArena which match Amazon's listing, show that the Moto G will feature a 4.5in 720p HD screen fronted with Gorilla Glass, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and a 1.2GHz Qualcomm quad-core processor.
Other specifications include 8GB of internal storage, a 5Mp rear camera, 1.3Mp front camera, 720p video recording and a water repellent coating.
It seems that the Moto G is a cheaper and lower spec version of the Moto X which wasn't released in the UK. We'll be at Motorola's launch event on Wednesday so we'll let you know if the leaked details turn out to be true.
