Currys has released its list of predicted top sellers for Christmas, and many believe that no. 4, "Apple mystery product", is the iPad mini.

UK retailer Currys/PC World has announced its yearly Christmas list: the top ten products that it believes will be big sellers in its stores come December. Number 4 is "Apple mystery product, £TBC", and many industry watchers believe this could be a clue to the launch of Apple's iPad mini.

Tablets dominate the list, with Apple's new third-gen iPad top and the Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7 also appearing.

"While it's no surprise that the likes of the iPad and Kindle are going to be on everyone's gift lists this year, we also think the tablet market as a whole could be a big winner," commented Mark Hosgood, manager for e-readers and tablets at Currys/PC World.

"We are already selling three times as many tablet devices as we were this time last year, and I expect this number will continue to rise as we get closer to Christmas."
