Bloomberg launches real-time industry research platform

Bloomberg has announced the roll-out of a global real-time research and analytics platform, named Bloomberg Industries, which continuously provides data to business and financial professionals.

A team of more than 100 research professionals based in New York, Princeton, London and Hong Kong will conduct analysis and research on over 100 industries in North America, Europe and Asia.

The analysts, who on average have over 17 years' experience at top buy- and sell-side firms, will create and manage in-depth coverage for each industry's drivers, metrics, competitors, themes and earnings.

Bloomberg Industries will also aggregate information from more than 200 third-party providers and feed future forecasts, as well as past and present performance, on industries around the world to members of Bloomberg Professional service, which has more than 310,000 subscribers.

The service, however, will not include stock recommendations.
