Apple has added iPads to the Mac and iPod refurbished deals on the US Apple Store, with a chance to save up to 10 per cent off the popular tablet device.

Apple has added iPads to the Mac and iPod refurbished deals on the US Apple Store.

Apple is offering a 10 per cent discount on a refurbished 16GB Wi-Fi model, with between 8 per cent and 6 per cent savings on other models.

At best, that equates to a $50 saving on the $449 16GB Wi-Fi iPad. Reporting the news, Cheapest Apple iPad suggests Apple is likely to start offering similarly discounted iPads on the UK store.

Apple notes: "We test and certify all Apple refurbished products and include a 1-year warranty. All refurbished iPad models also include a brand new battery and outer shell."

While refurbished Apple goods can be those returned by customers, others are ex-display models or simply have damaged or missing packaging.
