Reports are claiming that the iOS 6.0.2 may affect battery life on the iPad mini and iPhone 5.
Tidbits claims to have witnessed "unusual battery drains" and a check on Twitter turned up a number of claims of low battery levels since the update to iOS 6.0.2. Comments on the Tidbits story also suggest that people are suffering increased battery drain on their devices.
ZDNet claims that Apple appears to be working on the issue, because it has removed the online support Note for the update, a frequent sign that an update to an update will be forthcoming.
It is thought that the battery drain issue is connected to WiFi. The iOS 6.0.2 update was said to fix a WiFi bug although some users experiencing problems with WiFi have had trouble installing the update, according to reports.
The battery life claims are, as yet, untested however.
