Uncharted 2 nabs 15 award nominations
Publisher Sony had a very good 2009 if AIAS award nominations are any indication.
The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has its nominees for their 13th annual awards show lined up and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is sitting pretty with 15 nominations.
Assassin's Creed II clocks in with 10 nominations over Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's nine, followed by Batman: Arkham Asylum with eight. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Brutal Legend round out the top nominees with four apiece.
The Overall Game of the Year category unsurprisingly is made up of Uncharted 2, Assassin's Creed II, Batman, Modern Warfare 2, and Dragon Age: Origins. Far more interesting is the competition in the Outstanding Achievement in Portable Game Design category; Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure is a definite underdog along side fellow nominees Scribblenauts, Patapon 2, LocoRoco 2, and LittleBigPlanet.
