VMware has made its vCloud Integration Manager available, which it says lets service providers more efficiently provision cloud networks for clients.

The Integration Manager works with vCloud Director, vSphere and vShield and allows service providers to manage existing and new cloud deployments for customers using a Web-based portal.

Without the Integration Manager, many service providers manually provision new servers for clients with features such as virtualization, security and billing functions. The Integration Manager automates those processes and prevents a reseller from over-provisioning a cloud offering from a service provider. VMware said this allows for a more rapid deployment of the service to customers.

As part of today's general availability, VMware is making a limited promotion of the service for free to certain providers, the company announced in a blog post.
